Microsoft has released a smaller version of the Outlook personal information software system, and named it Outlook Lite. For now, Outlook Lite, which, in the company’s own words, “carries the main features of Microsoft Outlook in smaller applications with fast performance for light devices on any network”, has been launched in 14 countries, including India.
Here are some outlook lite features, according to Microsoft:
(1.) The new version is for the Android platform and has an Outlook core experience, including access to email, calendar, contact etc.
(2.) This application has a download size of only 5MB and uses very low storage on the user’s cellphone.
(3.) Lite has been optimized to run fast on all Android devices, including those that have 1GB of RAM.
(4.) Lite uses fewer resources on the phone, thus saving device battery.
(5.) This application works well on all networks, including 2G and 3G, throughout the world. It also supports Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, MSN, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online Accounts.
(6.) Besides India, it has been introduced in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Venezuela. Availability in other countries will be decided in the future.
