On July 23, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Monkeybox as a global health emergency. At that time more than 16,000 cases had been reported from 75 countries.
Before the Monkeypox 2022 outbreak, the first case was detected again in 1970. The symptoms include fever, swollen lymph nodes, blisters, rashes and muscle aches.
The maximum number of cases detected in Europe – with Spain, Germany and Britain calculates more than 10,000 joint cases.
Although there is no special vaccine for monkeypox, the vaccine used for smallpox is given instead because of the similarity between the two. Two Vaccines – Imvamune and Acam2000 – have been recommended for use by US disease control and prevention centers.
On August 4, there were 26,208 cases of Monkeypox reported in 87 countries. Here are ten countries that have reported most of the Monkeypox cases.
1. United States (6,616)
More than a quarter of the Monkeypox case has been reported from New York, where this disease is declared a threat to public health by New York Governor Kathy Hochul. With more than 6,000 cases, the US is at the top of the list of countries with the most affected. More than 780,000 vaccine doses have been distributed throughout the country.
2. Spain (4,577)
Spain recorded the second death of Monkeypox on July 30. This makes it one of the first deaths of diseases that will be recorded outside Africa and make Spanish leading European countries for detected cases. The health authority has given more than 5,000 vaccine doses.
3. England (2,749)
The first Monkeypox case in England was detected on April 29. Now there are 2,749 cases reported. The epicenter of this disease is in London and the country has ordered more than 130,000 vaccine doses to the virus.
4. Germany (2,781)
With the case of crossing more than 2,500, Germany has increased its vaccine protection drive. Those aged over 18 years will receive a vaccine made by Bavaria Nordic. Berlin is an earthquake center, with the first case detected on May 20. 79% of cases reported no travel history.
5. France (2,239)
With cases above 2,000, France has the highest number of Monkeypox cases in the world. More than 18 Monkeypox vaccination centers have been opened in Paris, plague centers in this country. This country has succeeded in managing more than 8,000 vaccines so far despite lack of staff.
6. Brazil (1,474)
Brazil has now exceeded 1,000 cases, including the death of a 41 -year -old man with a comorbidity. The majority of cases reported originated from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Besides the US and Canada, Brazil is one of the highest affected countries in America. The first case was detected on June 10.
7. Netherlands (927)
The first case in the Netherlands was reported on May 21. After the discovery, the country began to investigate cases and probably origin. So far there has been no reported death. Now it is obligatory to be reported to Dutch health services.
8. Canada (890)
Ontario (423) and Quebec (373) have reported the highest number of cases confirmed in Canada. The country has begun diagnostic testing for viruses that cause monkeypox and have recommended the use of Imvamune vaccines on disease.
9. Portugal (633)
The country has begun to vaccinate the confirmed Monkeypox case. From the first case detected in May, the total number of cases in Portugal has passed 600, with most of them in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley regions.
10. Italy (505)
The first Monkeypox case in Italy was detected in mid -May. Researchers in Spallanzani identified cases of Monkeypox first cases in Italy in two men who had returned from the Canary Islands. Italian researchers also first discovered a virus in the cement of patients who were detected, concluded that it could be a vehicle for transmission. Kasing is currently standing at 505.
